Multicoloured Viscose Twill Magnolia hack

I’ve made a few Deer and Doe Magnolia dresses now and I especially love the sleeves from version 2. I decided to use this Viscose Twill from Fabric Godmother for a square neck version.

I paired the Magnolia sleeves with a self drafted bodice and a Nina Lee Kew skirt cut on the fold and levelled at the hem.

I used Liberty bias binding to finish the neckline and it was the first time I’d bound a square neckline so it wasn’t perfect, but I really like the square neck contrasted with the floaty sleeves.

This make gave me an idea for another Magnolia in some more fabric from Fabric Godmother, which I’ll get cracking on now!
