One of my best friends just had a second baby, this time a girl, and I couldn’t resist making a tiny summer dress even though she’ll likely wear it once before she grows out of it. I’ve been wanting to use this Rifle Paper co flamingo fabric for ages but wasn’t quite ready to dress head to toe in it.
I used Puperita’s Sweet Bee pattern which is a super quick sew (under 2 hours) and has adjustable straps, so ideal if you aren’t 100% sure of size.
I used a polka dot fabric that I got a while ago from IKEA for the lining. I really like the playfulness of the design and thought it was fitting for baby clothes.
I’m glad I picked out the black for the ricrac and lining because I think it makes the coral stand out and doesn’t make it too girly. Now I really want one in my size.
That is cute – love the fabric too – flamingo fabric is so trendy – even if the little one wears it just once then she’ll be mega fashionable just for a day !
Do you advertise the patterns anywhere? Is it your own?
It’s from an Etsy seller called Puperita 🙂
I shall pop over and check out Etsy, thanks so much!
This is so adorable! Makes me wish I had a baby girl to sew cute things for.
