Ok, so i’m not talking about the Great British Sewing Bee but rather sewing with this lovely Sophie Allport bumblebee fabric.
I wanted to make myself a Kindle case and this was really just a prototype with some off-cuts as I do want to make one in oilcloth so that it’s wipe clean and more hard wearing. It was my first time quilting the fabric and using wadding so unfortunately it isn’t very straight. I also cut the fabric slightly too small and didn’t really allow for the extra fabric needed for the zip.
Anyway, this is the finished result:
And this is the inside…
Shortcomings aside, I do quite like it! I’ll definitely be on the lookout for some similar fabric in oilcloth for my next attempt. This one is definitely not beach-proof!
Awesome. I love it!
Thanks very much! 🙂
I love this, think you should do one for an ipad. You would have lots of people buying them. Lovely fabric!
