I bought this cotton seersucker from the New Craft House Christmas party. I don’t normally buy fabrics out of season but this one jumped out at me and I was imagining a summery Anna dress or another Flora. However seeing so many other lovely versions, I settled on a Tilly and the Buttons Seren dress. The cotton has a bit of structure to it so I knew that the frill would be quite a statement so I went for very simple navy buttons.
The sew was pretty straightforward as with all Tilly’s patterns – the instructions are SO GOOD. If I was to make this pattern again I’d probably shorten the bodice as it sits a little low. The rest of the adjustments were fairly easy to make as I went along and I love the neckline and back of the dress – I’m definitely going to make more next year.
Annnd who better to twin with than Tilly herself…
